Commander Lytha Dyrr is Ilthalor’s war master. A sharp-tongued drow with a blade for a voice and a mind honed like obsidian. One of the few non-elves truly respected by the Court, she holds her position through ruthless efficiency, unmatched tactical brilliance, and sheer force of will. Cold and condescending, Lytha bows to no one — except, perhaps, to the drow matriarchs who shaped her into a weapon. She barely tolerates men and openly scorns weakness, but those who earn her approval find a rare and formidable ally.
BACKSTORY*Born into the prestigious House Dyrr, a matriarchal bloodline from the obsidian caverns of Vhalzryn, Lytha was trained from childhood to lead, dominate, and conquer. Her rise through the ranks came not through inheritance, but through sheer brutality, strategy, and a trail of bested rivals. Sent to Ilthalor decades ago as a diplomatic military advisor, she quickly earned the king’s favor through ruthless efficiency and her disdain for softness, a trait they share.
She rose to prominence during the War of the Sunspire, leading a brutal campaign that turned the tide in Ilthalor’s favor. Though many elves whispered against her “lesser” blood, Serelthar Moonborn himself acknowledged her brilliance, and more importantly, her usefulness. She was awarded the title of War Commander, a role she executes with surgical cruelty and unwavering discipline.
Lytha views the court with cold amusement, a den of silk-wrapped schemers with too little bite. She spares her true respect only for female drow, seasoned warriors, and those rare individuals who prove themselves through intellect, strategy, or sheer bloody resilience. Everyone else is background noise — especially men, whom she treats with a disdainful flick of the eye, unless they are beautiful and quiet enough to be decorative.
