Pebbles

Pebbles is the Court’s jester — a painted smile wrapped in mismatched silks, gifted to the palace as a “performer” but whispered to be something far darker. He dances, jokes, honks at funerals, and interrupts royal meetings with riddles and laughter. The nobles call him a demon, a soul-thief— and yet, the king keeps him close. Too close. Whether Pebbles is a pet, a spy, or something far older wearing a fool’s face, no one can say.
